OBSCURE. A blast from the past.

               E3 is over, and the news now will be weeks of info getting filtered out to the masses.  WE checked out the  announced Resident Evil 7 TEASER demo. That has been tormenting and puzzling all those who have played it. NO ONE still knows that the damn dummy finger key is for.   Though as this has all come to an end.  We here at Dread Play are under way with our latest Let's Play, OBSCURE. 

             Obscure originally came out on the PlayStation 2 and XBOX.  But was recently in the last couple of years remastered and put out on STEAM.  They updated the graphics to be able to run at 1080p and 60 fps.  Granted it is still BOXED on the sides keeping the original 4X3 screen ratio.  The game was on of the first game to do some unique mechanics that games today have used . Obscure has a light mechanic like that of ALAN WAKE.  But instead of not being able to damage Darkness covered monsters, you just do less damage.  It also has a death system where since there are several playable characters in the game, the death of one is not game over. Game over only ends when all of them are DEAD. Like that of Heavy Rain (PlayStation 3)  and Until Dawn. (PlayStation 4). And it's one of the few games these days, let along a Survival Horror game with COUCH CO-OP. Meaning 2 can play at once.

             IceHeart and my self always wanted to play this game, But never did pick it up on it's first release.  Years later when it was re released on Steam, I picked up both of them. Yes the first game did well enough to get a sequel. But it wasn't till now that we had spent any time playing them.

RESIDENT EVIL 7 ANNOUNCED.

                With E3 here Iceheart and my self (Nova KitFox) are looking to all the announcements and previews of games that will be coming out in the next year.  So far out of all the press conferences that I my self have seen the streams of. Sony was by far the best.  Their show was 90% just  game trailers and videos.   One of their announcements that caught my eye was RESIDENT EVIL 7. Now i was expecting to hear something about Resident Evil this year, but NOT RE7 news.  With the announcement of RE2 being remade just last year. I was expecting for some one to showcase something related to that.  But instead we got the big surprise RE7's announcement with a playable teaser! The only downside is those who are not PS4 and PS+ subscribers are kinda out of luck on getting the teaser.  BUT, I just happen to be a PS4 owner and a PS+ subscriber.  So I downloaded it ASAP.

So with that said, check out DREAD PLAY's look at the RESIDENT EVIL 7:  BEGINNING HOUR TEASER. You can expect IceHeart and myself will be getting this game when it comes out on January 24, 2017. That is if it remains on track for that release date.

In other news as well DEAD BY DAYLIGHT has been released. I got a chance to Live stream some of it on out TWITCH CHANNEL.  I hope that in the coming months that I can get a few friends together and be able to bring a regular video of this to our channel. I hope to be able to do one once a month. But that comes down to if i can get a group of friends who will play with us, or reach out to other Let's Players to be able set up something.

The end of SOMA. Episode 16 is live.

Well with this post. SOMA has come to an end.  Episode 16 shows us the end result of the Choices I have made through out the game.  Watch it now just below And check back later for review of the game overall here on our blog.

SOMA coming to an end, and a new beginning.

Nova's play through of SOMA will be coming to an end this Friday but we already have a new Dread Play project in the works and recording has already started.  The best news is that this will be a co-op survival horror game and Iceheart will be joining Nova for this one! I'll leave you with this clue as to what we'll be doing in our upcoming Dread Play.

                                     

SOMA Episode 14 and the Next project

Episode 14 is LIVE of SOMA right now on our youtube channel.  Nova has Pushed forward and now DESCENDS into THE ABYSS.  We are that much closer to finding THE ARK and getting out of this digital HELL.  But all is not Safe in the deep.  Watch below right now. On a side Note we are under way already for the next project.  We will be working to keep a steady recording schedule IceHeart is back as well!.  We are playing a Co-Op Horror game and so far we are having a blast. As of this post we are 4 episodes recorded.  So expect our next series right away after SOMA finishes up following the same upload schedule. One episode every Monday and Friday.
